1. prediction: A well known Pastor/Minister is linked to Fraud in Alberta.

2. prediction: Babies by the dozen, more kids born in Alberta, Canada than in past few years, A record breaker! Go…get lovin!

3. prediction: Real Estate Booms again, everyone thought it would bottom out, but surprise! New, used and Commercial- all of it!

comments: True

4. prediciton: K-Roc Ratings book: does this come out in February? Not bad, jumped a bit in ratings for first book of year; midway through the year it's holding at 5; end of the year is touchy in fact there is a race for the place; so second half of year is where it's got to work hard. Better plan it out. I'm seeing a new staff member in place, Billy, is that you? Talent speaks volumes! And don't underestimate the power of All Hallowed Eve and Winter Solstice, it ain't new age-- it's ancient and the energy is back with a vengence for ratings and revenue. Hey you guys should give me a job! Now how's that for a blatant self promotion eh?

comments: All true, Bill Cowan who was co-hosting the show I predicted this on is now at K-Roc full time as Co-Host for the morning show. Terry Evans took over as Host of the morning show replacing Bruce Kenyan, and I (KD) was promoted on 3 news programs-- 2 on A-channell, Oct 28 and 29, Nov. 1 on CFRN, and a NAIT radio interview on Oct 29. Terry Evans starts a variety show and will be competion - in my view - for The Open Mike with Mike Bullard show during the solstice. Whew, what a loaded prediction!

5. prediction: "Planet Hollywood" Edmonton Club: We need stars! Kevin Bacon and Bacon Brother's were great, and they return, very nice. But I see trouble here of financial sort if they don't bring in someone like Arnold Swartznegger or Bruce Willis and his band. Hey, if you're listening, Bruce Willis is really cute and he is my choice for fun! And no three day notice thing either if it's Bruce and the Boys eh! Gotta get my hair done.

comments: True, Planet Holywood closes down and they didn't bring in the stars as promised.

6. prediction: City Budget cuts -such as public swimming pools, etc. are imperative for the heath of budgets for Emergency Services, City Funded Social Programs, etc. A furor begins when it looks as though the city is budgeting for the World Games at the expense of citizen safety, etc. However, I see that The Provincial Government is the one who is lacking in it's obligations to their responsibility of provisions more-so than the municipality. However the one-liners are again flowing out of the Provincial Authorities Mouth's. It doesn't help that again the snow removal and storm cleanup budget is absolutely depleted. The city is not working as it appears, it is budgeting for the necessary survival needs of the citizens but we also have a legal obligation to the World Games and in the end this will be a fortunate factor increasing the overall budget long-term of the city funded programs of the necessary survival needs. Not just for the city of Edmonton but for the Provincial budget's health as well. In this the people should voice their opinions, their fears, they should exert their collective power that they don't always believe they have -but do. This will be demonstrated in odd, quirky but effective ways making wide spread news.

comments: Sure enough, the new city budget demands from the Provincial Government came out (revealed by Kerry Diotte of the Sun) and they are obviously preparing, as I have so stated, for the World Games and the people are indeed outraged at the proposed tax increase's (going to be 3.5% for residential property instituted as well). Really though, much of the budget increases (thus tax hike) can't be helped. And of course, in 2000 Klein did begin implementing private health care (Bill ll) as I also predicted - under the guise of offerring "more" to the people, as I predicted. He didn't put it (Bill 11) to a vote as he said he would, also as I predicted. No wonder the people have exploded.

7. prediction: EPCORE: The news is in and done by February 12, 1999, Free Market is just OK we can do better. I saw something about 8.2 million or 82 million. (I saw the numbers eight and two. ) Predicted on A Channel, Doug Downs, Dec 28/98

comments: Yes, Epcore did remain here. An Archaeological site was discovered on their riverbank site - where they were going to tear their water treatment plant down and rebuild. This slowed them down and is costing big bucks.

8. prediction: MAYOR SMITH: In his December press release and interview he stated we would, by the year 2000, save 27 something dollars (is it millions or thousands I only caught a fragment of the statement on ITV?). I saw the numbers three and two and am feeling as though he was being conservative in his twenty-seven estimate.
