Telepathy:"An Advanced Tek…back in the day"

Telepathy is a much loved topic of fairytales and horror movies. However, myths and legends do usually originate with facts. The animal callers of a village or tribe of first peoples was a fundamental essential to daily living. Raw technology in ancient times. The technical advancements of first peoples were not only regarding tools that assisted life's continuity, such as fire, the wheel and cutting implements, there were technical advancements made in the understanding definitions and manipulation of psychic works such as telepathy.

Telepathy is the means by where thoughts and emotions are transmitted from mind to mind(s) without the use of verbal (talking)or other forms of communication (body language) that animals are most accustomed to, telepathy is also not limited to time, distance, and other barriers. A spiritualist, shaman, seer, or to use the umbrella name, psychic, was utilized to telepathically communicate with animals that the tribe needed to hunt and eat for survival. In this case the telepath would ask the animal to come nearer to the tribe's hunters and also to give an area of location for the hunters to more easily or more accurately find and take of their body. Of course the telepath would not tell the animal what the end result was going to be, in fact the telepath was careful to shield his/her true intentions regarding the impending hunt. The Caller of the Hunt would entice the animal to come forth by relaying a feeling of contentment, safety, desire. The Caller would also be more apt to accurately discern when and where the animal was positioned at the moment including it's intended migration route toward the telepaths enticing destination.

This type of telepathy, when used properly was a handy survival tool for a tribe particularly when in the starving moons. The illusion of safety that the telepath was delivering to the unwary hunted is called a "spell" and was a genuine technical advancement of it's time. A tribe was fortunate indeed if it produced a psychic of their own among their tribe's members but if they had not the elders would seek one from another tribe and negotiate the acquisition. If a psychic was born amongst the tribe it was not always guaranteed that the one would have the ability to Call the Hunt.
