Provincial Elections :
Are coming up with an early vote called by Première Klein.
He has a strong following but his dreams of a third election
are not to be a reality. I felt that the spin doctoring
he has been doing the last 1.5 years has not fooled the
people. Has anyone wondered why the 1999 (first) spinal
meningitis inoculations immediately preceded a major outbreak
of this disease? Were the inoculations spin doctoring?
I think so and frankly speaking (from experience), more
education regarding this disease would have warded off
the most of the problem to begin with, costing taxpayers
less and saving lives; but that just wouldn't have been
spectacular enough spin doctoring for his "see, we really
care about health care and are doing something about ---
now that the people are disgusted with our lack of consideration
and pretended ignorance previously" campaign. All in all,
the health care issues, education issues and energy cost
issues will loose the election for Klein's team, in this
case the little people are finally banning together and
making themselves heard at the polls, his votes won't
depend on the mover's and shakers (who are relatively
unaffected by the common man's problems with cut backs)
as it has in the past.
City of Edmonton Civic Election:
There are three candidates of worth, so Smith is going
to get a run for his money this time. I don't see he is
elected however he seems to be "finishing the job he started"
as he is a consultant retained somehow by the city. |
